I try and do my bit for charity. Below are a few different fund raising attempts of mine.
The Mighty Triathlon.
In August 2013, I am attempting probably the most epic charity fundraising attempt I’ll ever attempt.
The Mighty Triathlon is the brainchild of myself and my house mate, Steve.
We’ll be swimming 4 miles from the Isle of Wight to Portsmouth, walking 191 miles from Portsmouth to Derby, then cycling 296 miles on to Glasgow.
The Triathlon is aimed at raising awareness of Neuroblastoma. It is all in the memory of a very special boy called Lewis Mighty.
More details soon.
Movember 2011.
Me and some friends grew moustaches for charity. We raised over £500 for male cancer charities.
Other Charity Attempts.
Gareth is currently trying to raise money for the Lewis Mighty Fund.
Lewis was a small boy from Derby that suffers from Stage 4 Neuroblastoma.
The family needed to raise £300,000 for life saving treatment.
Lewis passed away on May 16th 2012. At the time of his passing, the fund sat at £242,000. So close.
Here are a couple of videos of Gareth’s fundraising attempts.
