Kody Tracks & Video Filming

Oi!

As I mentioned before, I have reformed my old punk band, Kody. Turlough, Steve, Tim and Myself have been working on a couple of new tracks, 13 years since we last played together.

We have the masters back from Nada Mastering in New York. We love them.

We are heading down South to film a pair of music videos for the tracks in two weeks.

‘What this is, is what we give’ and ‘Loves giving it, hates taking it’ will then be released across the usual digital culprits, iTunes, Amazon, Spotify etc.

Can’t wait for you to hear them.

Hopefully after 13+ years apart, we will get together for a couple of shows aswell, near the end of the year.

New Kody Record

For those of you that haven’t known me for a while, I used to be in a punk rock band called Kody, many years ago. We did a fair bit, touring in the UK and America, and releasing a fair few records.

After 13 years the four of us have got back together to record another record.

It’s just starting off as a single and B side, but it was a really good crack, and I confess, I have the bug back.

As soon as the record is mixed and mastered, we will get a video out asap. We have to go under the name ‘We Were Kody’ as someone has already jumped into our named grave.

For now, have a wee look at our Facebook and Twitter.

AFA Charity Event

I am performing at this years AFA Charity event in Nottingham.

I will be playing an acoustic set at Saltbox Nottingham in the evening, but more importantly, I will be putting my boots back on for the first time in years, as part of that afternoons charity football match.

If you are in the area, check it out and support the cause.

Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year.

Ayup.

Hope you all have a fabulous Christmas, and a wonderful new year.

While I don’t subscribe to any religion, I do love getting to spend time with my family. Living so far away means I don’t see them often.

I look forward to seeing a lot of you next year, as the touring will be taken up a notch, and I will get to travel and perform a lot more.

Here’s to a special 2017.

Squaddie Reunion…

Ayup.

Many years ago, I became a musician in a bar called The Royal Squadron, on the Isle of Wight. A legend called Dan Damage gave the kids somewhere to play, and it became a Mecca for Isle of Wight talent, and Isle of Wight pissheads.

On Wednesday the 21st December, there will be a reunion, with several bands getting back together to perform again for the first time in something like 15 years.

I will be performing an acoustic set, but will also be joining a ‘super band’ to perform a couple of covers that I played all those years ago.

I have to confess that these particular tracks were easier to sing before my balls dropped, but I will give it my best!

If you are Isle of Wight based and fancy a laugh, come along!

Lives & Lyrics Project

Ayup.

I have spent the last two Fridays in a young offenders institute just outside Derby. I am lucky enough to be involved in a musical project called ‘Lives and Lyrics’.

The idea of the project is to take stories from different areas of society, and put them into song. Other musicians are with different communities across the County. At the end of the project, we will release an album and tour the songs around the local area.

It has been an eye opening experience, and now I need to put pen to paper and do these kids justice.

I will post updates and samples as they come!

Tour dates in Germany, Scotland, and with Ian McNabb…

Hello!

After a quiet few months, I am finally back on the road in August, September and October.

I’ll be playing some shows in Islay and Jura with my good pal Jono, before hitting Germany for some shows in and around Munich, before teaming up with Ian McNabb for a few dates across the UK.

The full list is here.

If you are about, lets have a few jars.
